When creams or lotions containing this ingredient are applied to the skin, alpha-glucosidea, an enzyme present in the skin, interacts with AA2G™ to promote the gradual release of the vitamin.
Ascorbyl glucoside was originally developed in Japan as a drug used in cosmetic products to brighten the overall skin tone and reduce pigmentation (age spots and freckles). Further research revealed other beneficial properties of the ingredient, and today Ascorbyl Glucoside is used not only for whitening, but also to refresh dull skin, prevent aging and, in addition, in sunscreen products.
Mode of application:
- Lather the gel in your hands and apply to the skin with massaging movements. Rinse with plenty of water. If it gets into your eyes, rinse immediately with water.
- Apply a small amount of foam to a damp face with gentle massage movements, then rinse the face thoroughly with water. Soak a cotton pad with toner and wipe the skin of the face, neck, and décolleté area. It can be used morning and evening after the skin cleansing procedure. Suitable for daily use.
- Apply the serum in a thin layer to cleansed skin and allow it to absorb for 10–15 minutes.
- Apply the cream-fluid to the skin of the face and neck with gentle massaging motions.
Contraindications: Individual sensitivity to the components of the formulation. Before use, test for an allergic reaction.
