Active ingredients

Ascorbyl glucoside (AA2G™) is a natural vitamin C (ascorbic acid) stabilized with glucose. This combination makes it easy and efficient to use the full benefits of vitamin C in cosmetic products. When creams or lotions containing this ingredient are applied to the skin, alpha-glucosidea, an enzyme present in the skin, interacts with AA2G™ to promote the gradual release of the vitamin.

Ascorbyl glucoside was originally developed in Japan as a drug used in cosmetic products to brighten the overall skin tone and reduce pigmentation (age spots and freckles). Further research revealed other beneficial properties of the ingredient, and today Ascorbyl Glucoside is used not only for whitening, but also to refresh dull skin, prevent aging and, in addition, in sunscreen products.
